Calming Cramps

I never had any problem refraining from using medicine until that time of the month came around!
In the midst of a throbbing headache or terrible cramps I had a hard time resisting that one bottle of aspirin hidden in my bottom shelf. The good news is that there are natural remedies that will work to calm pre-menstrual symptoms!

Clary Sage is one of the best essential oils to help ease the tension of those painful few days. You can add a few drops of oil to a simmer pot and place it by your bedside while you rest, or you can drop 10-20 drops in a warm bath and soak. Another great idea is to make a massage oil by adding 5 drops of Clary sage to 5 tablespoons of sweet almond oil and rub on your belly. Chamomile and Lavender are also wonderful essential oils to use.

Chamomile and Ginger teas do a great job at soothing an upset stomach. You can make your own chamomile tea by adding 2 teaspoons of dried Chamomile flowers to a cup of boiling water and let it steep for at least 5 minutes. There are also lots of teas to choose from at your nereast health food store.

These are just a few natural remedies to try when that time of the month comes around...
