The Cove

My husband and I just finished watching the award winning documentary The Cove. This documentary exposes the slaughter of more than 20,000 dolphins off the coast of Japan every year. The dolphin meat which contains toxic levels of mercury is being sold as food in Japan and other parts of Asia, often labeled as whale meat. Most of the world, and even the people living right in the town that this slaughter is taking place is not aware that this is happening.

I encourage you to see the film and take part in the Social Action Campaign for The Cove. You can visit their website at www.takepart.com/thecove. The goal is to create worldwide awareness of this annual practice as well as the dangers of eating seafood contaminated with mercury and to pressure those in power to put an end to the slaughter.
